The excellent course was designed by Dave Thomas, who is one of the most prestigious European golf designers. Probably best known for the Brabazon course at The Belfry, near Birmingham, where the Ryder Cup has been held on many occasions.
The landscape has been transformed into an interesting and undulating golf terrain, with strategically placed lakes and carefully designed tree planting integrated in to the design, to challenge all levels of golfers. Watch out for the 7th played over water to an island green!
Golfers will find Roda Golf & Beach Resort the perfect spot to put their skills into practice. With all the convenience of being able to enjoy it any time you wish, just a few steps from the apartment.
Roda has recently become a PGA Academy and lessons are now available for children as well as adults. It is also the first course in Murcia to attain the ISO 14.001 environment award.
The course is becoming increasing popluar with both professionals and amateurs alike. It has hosted many tournaments including a round of the PGA Championships, with competing golfers from all over Europe, and the Spanish Junior Open. In addition, the driving range and practice putting green are both proving to be great attractions.
Most clubs require a valid handicap certificate and there is usually a maximum handicap allowed.
At Roda the maximum handicap is 26 for men and 34 for ladies.

Club Hire
Clubs can be hired on site if you just want to play the odd round. Costs are approximately €25-35 per round.
However, there is a company that hires clubs throughout the world – with a base at Alicante airports.
